President Barack Obama is expected to nominate John Brennan as director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) later today. Brennan held a senior intelligence position under President George W. Bush and is currently a top counterterrorism adviser to the White House.
If confirmed, Brennan will succeed retired general David Petraeus.
