One in two teenagers living in Greece is unemployed. The overall unemployment rate in January was above 20%. Hanging above the economy is a set of austerity rules voted in by politicians. Despite these measures the economy in Greece has been in a recession for 5 years. It’s GDP has dropped by 20% since 2008.
Now the voters are having their say – and they are saying no to austerity measures.
