The past few days has seen the media playing soundbites of politicians claiming the President is using the death of Bin Laden as a campaign issue.Friday’s release of the President’s campaign video includes a piece about the decision to raid Bin Laden’s compound. John McCain called the ad a “Shameless End-Zone Dance to Help Himself get Re-Elected.”

By Monday morning, Mitt Romney replied to a question about the Bin Laden Raid. According to the video snippet, while in New Hampshire Mitt Romney quipped, “Even Jimmy Carter would have given that order.” Later in the day, President Obama replied, “I’d just recommend that everybody take a look at people’s previous statements in terms of whether they thought it was appropriate to go into Pakistan and take out Bin Laden,” Obama said. “I said that I’d go after Bin Laden if we had a clear shot at him, and I did. If there are others who have said one thing and now suggest they’d do something else, then I’d go ahead and let them explain it.”
