One of the most exciting promises of the Internet is the opportunity to expand the media options. According to Forbes, the Telegraph Media Group and Brightcove have joined forces to offer "programming [that] will cover areas including arts, fashion and travel as well as daily rolling news."
The press release describes the partnership: "Using Brightcove’s on-demand, media distribution platform, TMG will be able to deliver branded video services that are timely and relevant to the growing audience for information and entertainment delivered over the internet. Programming
will draw on the Telegraph’s journalism talent and the multimedia content production skills of ITN On…"
Maybe we can expect the merging of other media offerings – and surfing the web will no longer be about popups and spam but about information about our world 24/7.
