Microsoft has released a one-click fix to their internet explorer browser versions regarding a potential security risk disclosed last Saturday. The “zero-day” vulnerability has been in the news since September.
The fix does not require a system reboot. Everyone should apply this fix or upgrade to IE 9 or IE 10, neither version is effected by this security hole. Windows XP users cannot update to versions 9 or 10, therefore, users should avoid using IE 8 or below without applying the patch.
