Microsoft is organizing a one-day, mini-event that focuses on Silverlight technologies, called ReMIX07. The one day event will be held at Microsoft’s Mountain View campus and best of all will be free. Breakfast and lunch included.
Some at Microsoft are promoting this event as a “second” chance for people who weren’t able to get into the sold-out Mix07 conference at Las Vegas. Sounds good. Although, to me it looks more like a permutation of Microsoft’s one-day MSDN events that focus on various developer topics. It’s just that this time around, the event is focusing on Silverlight. Compare this to ReMIX Australia and ReMIX Europe both of which are multi-day events that appear to be more extensive and closer to a mini-Mix conference.
I wonder: is there going to be any mention of ink support at this “Mix” event? Hmmm.
It’s probably pretty obvious by now that I haven’t agreed with Microsoft’s decision to shutter its doors at Mix07. Too bureaucratic–especially considering they had another overlapping event in the same venue which is where and when many of us thought the “remixing” should have occurred.
No matter. It’s good to see Microsoft continue to spread the word about Silverlight.
