Back in February 2011, Daring Fireball suggested Apple was going to shift to a 6-month production cycle. He predicted the Apple iPad 3 would be launched during the time period Apple usually discussed the iPod; that is, September.
Since John Gruber’s post, numerous outlets continue to publish “leaked” information about the iPad 3. For example, this past week focused on the screen resolution – an improvement of potentially up to 5 x 6 times the iPad 2.
There is no doubt that Apple leaves consumers wanting a new feature or an improvement of a feature.
The iCloud announcement and iOS 5 made during the WWDC are significant – yet – an iPad 3 with greater screen resolution is appealing.
If you were going to design an iPad 3 then what would you do to improve the product?

If I were to design the Ipad 3, I would want to add scratch resistant HD screen, USB port, different colors and of course the usual: more battery life 🙂

@dharait Battery life on the iPad is really good. In fact, my daughter and I were talking about how we see the “20%” left in the upper corner and laugh – have to plug it in tonight.

@Layne Heiny Me too! I am also interested to see the outcome of iphone5 🙂 The only thing I hate about Apple products is that they have to be backed up periodically. I lost all my contacts and photos yesterday due to that. Well, it was me at fault but I wish there was a way to restore one of my old backups.
@dharait Do you keep things backed up on iTunes? I keep contacts synchronized with my gmail account and exchange server. Hmm.. time to backup!
@Layne Heiny Yes, I do keep things backed up on my iTunes. But I was actually looking for a particular backup and I don’t think its possible to restore one particular backup in Apple products. Yes, I guess I will sync them with gmail. Thanks 🙂
ipad rumors are always coming and going without any backing whatsoever! whos to know whats true or not when fake blog sites are always making up rumors. just wait until apple releases it, thats my advice.
