News of Apple’s decision to delay the launch of Leopard and instead focus on getting the iPhone out on schedule has me thinking. Not about the technology. Or the business issues. But about the people.
From Apple’s statement posted online, Apple decided to move “some key software engineering and QA resources from our Mac OS X team” to the iPhone effort in order to get the iPhone out on time in June. However, the company is also committed to an October launch date for Leopard. This means, at least for these “key” people that they will have two major products launches back to back. That’s got to be tiring. I feel for them.
