I’m watching the keynote from today’s Google io2009 event and wouldn’t you know it, but the next version of the Andriod is getting gestures:
Have a long list of contacts and want to navigate quickly to the one that starts with an “e”? Well, write an “e” and the list automatically moves to it.

My question is: What happens if you can’t remember the first letter? In other words, what if you remember the first letter of the person’s name but you can’t remember if there’s a salutation in front of it? A “Dr. John,” for instance, starts with a “D” not a “J.” It would be cool if the gesturing allowed for letters in specific parts of a person’s name or music title or whatever.
