This summer, Rutgers Mini-MBA Digital Marketing Program will offer students an Apple iPad to use for interacting on social networking sites as well as with each other.
The Rutgers Center for Management Development (CMD) is trying to integrate the benefits of in-person classroom learning with the power and flexibility of digital technology. Rutgers faculty are working with Apple to customize the iPad for use in the course, and with programmers to develop apps specific for each of the 12 three-hour modules.
Please compare the usage ideas with the list of ten suggestions by CoolTeachers. This blog post also suggests using connections to social networking sites. However, there are attempts in the lesson plan ideas to have students build something (blog posting, articles, discussions). Unfortunately, my high school blocks social networking sites. I do like the idea of building an iPad application!
Above all, will the iPad enhance learning in the classroom?
