Disposable Tablets

Lisa Williams considered purchasing a Tablet PC but opted for a ThinkPad T41. Why? She was concerned about her toddler accidentally wreaking havoc with her computer. If Tablets were cheaper, she wouldn’t worry as much.

Someone else mentions in her comments that they’d purchase a Tablet too if only they were cheap enough to be disposable so in case it broke you wouldn’t worry about it. Just toss it away and get another.

So how’s it going with her T41? “…this morning my toddler found the sugar dispenser and poured it into my computer.”

Hmm. I guess that’s a good reason to have a slate Tablet PC :-).

Actually, all computers have to be relatively resilient to short drops and people pouring coffee over them and the like. Tablets are no different.
