Lora’s been getting IMs and emails yesterday and today about the Tablet PC event idea. I didn’t expect the post to take on a life of its own. The timing must be right. It sounds like a lot of people have been thinking about this for a long time.
Ken Collura was calling hotels in Las Vegas, Peter suggests dove-tailing it with Chris Pirillo’s Geeks Gone Wild event, Linda tallys three votes for the West Coast, Evan Feldman contemplates what type of “conference” it should be, Fritz has some suggestions on not what to do, and Spencer says he was planning a Buzz event too. And there have been many other suggestions too.
So far, everyone is suggesting sometime in the Fall–which would coincide well with Lonestar. Hmm.
I’m hearing rumors that this event is getting closer to becoming reality by the day
I don’t think it should dovetail any event unless the event itself has something to do with Tablets. I really think Tablet’s need a full event of their own. And grassroots efforts will make sure it will be a success. My suggestion is to pick the west coast.
