Peter wants to do more for the Tablet PC. First, there are few others that advocate as much and as strongly for the Tablet PC than Peter. He’s awesome. With only a couple days notice, for instance, he jetted across country to be at the CES Tablet PC get together in Las Vegas.
Now he wants to organize a local Tablet PC gathering. Great idea. It’s a bit challenging to overcome the friction and get something going though. Don’t let all the uncertanties hold you back. Just do it. Just do something.
Put the word out to meet in a coffee shop or bookstore. Pick a place and time that’s convenient to you. Invite a couple “ringer” friends that you know will come no matter what. It doesn’t matter if they have a Tablet PC or not. This will at least get you going.
Maybe piggy-backing on another event could be a catalyst to a Tablet PC get together. I see that Tim Marman was at DevDays in New York.
