In a comment, Nancy asks:
“I’ve been following your posts about WebcamNotes and am very interested in using inkblogging with my students. I have a question for you. I teach writing and I would love to have some sort of tablet pc application in which I could have students write out their drafts in ink. When they go to revise and edit, it would be cool if either they could using the editing marks to insert words and the text moves, making room for the revision, or if a student could pull up an overlay on which he could see his draft perfectly well but be able to edit above it. Could this be done? ”
Hi Nancy. I can see how an application such as this would be a great application. WebcamNotes, though, is far from this, although I’m beginning to wonder if I shouldn’t expand its ink input capabilities.
I’ve dabbled with some “gesture-based” editing of text here, although I realize that this isn’t quite what you’re thinking of either.
I imagine someone out there is working on an app similar to what you describe. It would be amazing. Anyone?
I just posted about this on my blog. Hmmm… I left you a comment about this post just a few minutes ago. I hope you got it.
