Google acquired Motorola for $12.5 billion dollars but appeared to be doing little with the company, except laying people off. This had some bloggers concerned that Google flushed money down the drain.
Tomorrow will be the start of advertising the Motorola Moto X, a Droid smartphone which will not be exclusive to Verizon. Ads are expected to run in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal.
Interestingly, Google Operating System blog (re)states the Moto X will be assembled in Fort Worth Texas. According to the CEO of Motorola, the Moto X will be “the first smartphone built within the United States.”
