The Windows 10 Blog published an overview of the new features available in the Creators update for Windows 10. Teachers should take notice of the edge browser speed performance and increased security.
“With all the dangerous security threats online today, Microsoft Edge blocks 9% more phishing sites and 13% more malware than Chrome – helping protect your identity and information; speed matters on the Web and according to Google’s own benchmarks, Microsoft Edge is faster than Chrome. Finally, Microsoft Edge makes your battery last longer so you can stream up to 1.5 hours of video longer than Chrome.”
Battery life continues to be a huge issue with mobile devices and computers. I cannot stand grabbing a device, turn it on, and realize it has 1/2 hour time left on the battery. Worse, there isn’t time to plug it in and charge it because the meeting is about ready to start.
As an aside, I’m noticing more and more teachers bringing their personal Microsoft Surface Tablets to the school. They prefer this computer over the school supplied Apple Air and iPad devices.
This is a very bad update! bug Bugs, BUGSSS!! Don't install this :wtf:
