How much data does a particular app use? Now there is an answer.
CTIA-The Wireless Association® launched KnowMyApp, which offers “data usage estimates on some of the most popular apps in the Apple and Google stores.”
According to Gross, “this is the first tool allowing consumers to learn about an app’s data usage before downloading it” (2013).
Browsing the apps was easy but figuring out the search page kept returning 0 results. Hopefully there will be some keyword hints given in the search as the developers of the site add more apps.
CTIA-The Wireless Association® is an international nonprofit membership established in 1984. Members include AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and numerous other carriers.
