Introduction to EduClassics.com

Welcome to EduClassics.com Blog. We invite you to use it as one of the several ways on this site to discuss topics addressed in Classic Education: A Learners’ View (ALV) of Choices during Teaching and Learning.

This site gives priority to describing behavior and other social patterns people use to learn and earn a Classic Education. EduClassics.com and Classic Education: A Learners’ View (ALV) of Choices… grew out of responding to the question, “How do people learn? Tell me step-by-step what people do to learn.”

This is one of the most exciting questions in education and the social sciences. It addresses the big, basic question of “How did people get from there to here throughout history?”

Learners have helped to answer this question. Empirical experimental behavioral and social scientists have been refining their descriptions of steps people take to learn for more than a century.

EduClassics.com highlights posts of new additions to Classic Education:… Both feature the vocabulary and logic used to describe steps learners use while learning. These steps complement descriptions of what people the most informed people have and continue to learn throughout recorded history, such as mathematics and poetry.

Together, the how and the what of classic education provide the foundation for learning in the 21st Century as they have for eons. People trying to increase learning promptly and dramatically may use this foundation in and out of schools.

This foundation challenges novices and the most informed to rely more on senses than on inferences about nonobservables such as cognition and thinking.

We’ve tried to summarize each behavioral and social principal of learning accurately and sufficiently to indicate its potential utility. We’ve also tried to arrange descriptions, so you may deduce related patterns people use to learn.

I wish I had had a site like this to review and extend my classic education.

I welcome your use, edits, and additions to EduClassics.com and to Classic Education: A Learners’ View (ALV) of Choices… text, comments and add videos, audios, and graphics to make sure these descriptions of patterns people use step-by-step while learning are accurate, helpful, and current.
