Developing for Microsoft Surface

Dr. Neil Roodyn of nsquaredsolutions offers in an interview reasons why he just released an ebook titled “Developing for Microsoft Surface: Crafting Exceptional Experiences.” Surface is a new technology used, among other places, on TV news broadcasts and adaptable to school learning.

This is the the world’s first book about application development for Microsoft Surface.

Roodyn has trained software developers worldwide during this past year. Although not a reason he gave for this training, teachers will find his descriptions offer informative hints for designing classroom lessons.

Existing software works with Surface, he says. But, programs developed especially for it offer more social interaction, one purpose for Surface.

Heiny, Ph.D. is a retired professor, social scientist, and business partner with previous academic appointments as a public school classroom teacher, senior faculty, or senior research member, and administrator. Appointments included at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Peabody College and the Kennedy Center now of Vanderbilt University; and Brandeis University.
