Ann Williams reports started sharing some of the projects underway at Carnegie Mellon University by Dr. Ananda Gunawardena.
One post is about Autism and tablet PC’s, one about Tablet PC Math, a tablet pc math drill program that has a client/server application allowing parents or teachers to monitor and assign projects, and one post about a distance tutoring service based on Tablet PC’s where the tutor uses the PC as an interactive blackboard the student can share.
Monitor this site for examples of the power of Tablets and their Ink cousins.
Also, check out Ms. William’s proposal for using Math Tutor. Great screen shots! Perhaps ideas exist in this project that other schools will also find useful.
Thanks, Ms. Williams, for pointing me to your site. I’m especially pleased to see the focus on students who might not progress as rapidly in academics without Tablets. Great start and best wishes. You’re pushing the right buttons! Hope to meet you and Dr. Gunawardena, maybe at the Tablet PC Gathering at CES 2009?
