The annual gathering with Tablet PC – and now UMPC – community enthusiasts CES 2007 is just around the corner. It’s a great place to talk with members of the Microsoft Mobile & Tailored Platforms Division (mobile PC, Tablet PC, and UMPC teams), OEMs, and ISVs, MVPs, and prominent online community members. They attend to get your feedback about their products.
So far, hardware manufacturers (OEMs and IHVs) are dominating the RSVP list, with ISVs a quick runner up.
Lora says, This could end up more like year 2 gathering, where we had a very strong representation of hardware companies for end users to talk with. The feedback companies received was tremendously useful and definitely had an impact. I hope to see the same type of interaction this time also.
Place: Cheeseburger Las Vegas, in the Aladdin Casino Desert Passage.
Date: Tuesday, January 9, 2007
Time: 3:30PM – 6PM
Teachers, administrators, and researchers have attended past gatherings, and made important contributions to discussions. There’s room for you, too, and your ideas.
Teachers and students, please note: If you’d like to reach out to a school administrator, IT director, company / individual who supports your school IT interests, or think that someone should attend, let Lora know. She can share a common email with details about the event. It is an informal event, but we want to make sure that people know about it!

Updates: Watch for updates.
See you there! Don’t forget to bring your Tablet PC or UMPC!
