In case you, like me, missed this one. Intel with New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art is site of Experiment in Self-directed, Interactive Museum Education with Tablet PCs.
“Unlike a conventional audio tour, the Tablet PC should enable a museum visitor to tailor the tour to his or her own needs, interests, and learning pace,” says Ralph Bond, Intel’s consumer education manager. “The primary focus is to provide interactive information that will contextualize and deepen visitors’ understanding of a work without intruding on their direct experience of it.”
