I think I feel an educational techtonic plate moving. Given the growing number and venues of such websites, I wonder what it means to say “I am a teacher.” These kinds of websites offer wonderful examples of opportunities to learn traditional school content outside of classrooms. But, they challenge hardcopy textbook orthodoxies school boards purchase and university trained teachers use. I wonder if our role as teacher will emerge to match the old cliche of being a master learner.
