No sooner had I fixed one Sasser/wserv32.exe infected machine, than I got a desperate call from another friend with almost the same symptoms: “My machine’s slowed down and IE is opening up spam websites.” There goes another evening 🙂
I can’t wait for SP2 to become widely available. I hope it is able to squelch the spread of these types of malware.
In the meantime, at least it gives me a chance to show off the Tablet some more. People get a kick out of seeing me take my notes on my Tablet as I try to understand and work through their problem. I guess it’s another form of viral marketing. Heh.
Please help me!!! I have the worm wserv32.exe. I have tried everthing to get rid of it and had no luck. If you could give me any information I would greatly appreciate it. Please email the address above. Thank you in advance for any help you give!!

After you remove the virus, be sure to add a good password to your Windows user account. It’s an important step in securing your computer.
Sometimes virus’ like this guess at your password, so make it unique.
