ActivInspire: Self Paced Questions

During professional development today, a teacher demonstrated how he is using self-paced questions in his math class. I decided to create a set of five questions tonight and try it in class tomorrow. I’m eager to watch as the students complete the quiz with their remotes rather than a scantron or paper & pen.

Other tips shared included the use of the sound recorder (creates an .avi file), path restrictors, labels for shapes, and other uses of the express poll.

Here is an image of an atomic model designed tonight. The electrons follow the paths of their specific energy level.

Update: The ActivInspire 1.5 was released today. After updating, the new layout for the questions really made creating self-paced quizzes even easier! The document view was also a nice addition, however, I’d really appreciate being able to have subscripts and superscripts. It’s a pain to do molar mass and not be able to write the chemical formulas properly.
