Jim Vanides has started creating and posting short Tablet PC tips as video clips on his blog.
Educators who ask, “So, what can you do with a Tablet PC?” might find the movies helpful…
Tip #1 shows how to use a tablet to annotate power point slides (which we can ALL model to our customers!).
Tip #2 shows the advantages of MS Journal over PowerPoint in the classroom.
Tip #3 shows how to save time with digital homework mark ups.
He asks that you let him know, Teacher, if you have any specific topics (tips) you would like him to cover in upcoming tips.
Yes, he’s listening. Please take him seriously and let him know what will help you in your classroom and with related school duties.
Thanks, Jim, for the clips. Great idea for allowing busy teachers a glimpse at how Tablet PCs can save time for us and for students. And thanks for waiting, Readers. I apologize for taking so long to get these posted – chose to attend to pressing family health matters instead.
Great videos! I am an education major and just bought a tablet pc. I can’t wait to try it out in a classroom environment! Do you know if there is a way to wirelessly connect the tablet to a digital projector?
Epson makes wireless projectors. I’m sure other companies do as well, but this is one that I’ve heard of: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/Landing/wpBusHow.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes
