Heads up, Tablet PC schools and ISVs. Here’s money ($$,$$$,$$$) for you to work with other schools and media developers to create new education curricula.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) requests proposals for projects that improve the understanding of American history and civics by middle and high school students.
This initiative will award $20 million in grants funding multimedia projects that apparently may include Tablet PC software development.
The first of three pre-proposal meetings starts April 29 with submission deadline in September 8, 2005.
“CPB believes the time is ripe to direct some of the spectacular recent advances in new media to improve the way young people learn history and civics,” CPB’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, Ken Ferree, reported yesterday in eSchool News Online.
