Lora pointed me to a symposium on Teaching and Learning With Tablet Personal Computers for UMass system faculty and staff being held March 31 and April 1, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Collaborative Services Facility in Shrewsbury, MA.
Presenters will include faculty from the Amherst and Lowell campuses, University of Virginia, University of New Hampshire and Dakota State University. A Microsoft representative will discuss tablet software. Representatives from Acer, Gateway, Hewlett Packard, Toshiba, and Viewsonic will also be on hand to demonstrate their products and answer questions. Most presenters will be involved in both days.
Teaching with Tablets will be the focus of the second day. Presentations, discussions and exhibits will be geared to faculty, but others may attend.
ISVs developing for a Tablet PC and addressing higher education content may want to attend. You still have time to register. Let us know what happens.
