Applying the ALV Zone System

A Learners’ View (ALV) Is Of Choices On The Shortest And Fastest Path To Learning, The Oxygen Of Social Life.

Main Page: ALV (a Learners’ View) of Choices during Teaching and Learning Detailed Contents

Theme: How to assess the use of the ALV Path of Learning in lessons

THE TASK FOR THE USER OF THE ALV ZONE SYSTEM (ALVZ) is to distinguish which parts of a given lesson lead directly to learning from those parts which do not. Answers to this question function as does a shoe sales person (a teacher) helping a customer (a learner) find a shoe (a lesson) that fits their feet (that matches social actions of learners, as represented by ALV, while learning).

Teachers may use this system as an informal guide for composing lessons. Third party evaluators may use this system as a way to support both novice and veteran teachers as they try to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of their lessons.

Features

ALVZ bridges a gap between conventional practices and scientific experiments. It guides users to parts of lessons where unused options may be selected that likely would accelerate, increase, and deepen (AID) learning in lessons teachers choose to offer. Read More

Instructions

The foremost requirement for applying this system is an evaluator who both knows the ALV Path and who is sensitive to interests of the teacher and students being observed. Read More
