This site is about the science of teaching-learning as social processes and its uses to accelerate, increase, and deepen (AID) learning.
Classic Education: A Learners’ View (ALV) of Choices during Teaching and Learning progresses from basic description to more detailed topics in a way that puts previously learned skills to use quickly.
You can use it as you would a catalogue of behavioral and social science research descriptions of choices people make while they learn, Teachers use these patterns when their lessons accelerate, increase, and deepen (AID) learning promptly and sometimes dramatically.
This site can also serve as a reminder to focus on choices learners make as you observe learners while they learn your lessons. You may choose to use these observations when you implement, discuss, and argue about programs and policies intended to result in learning.
The text offers subtle descriptions of learning that sometimes appear unnecessarily complicated at first. Yet, follow the logic until you can distinguish descriptions of learning from while learning as well as distinguish both from discussion about learning and education.
