How Teachers Can Use ALV consists of lists (1) of fundamentals for using ALV, (2) to prepare to design a lesson, and (3) of ways to backward chain to form a lesson, that is, to begin designing lessons at the end of the lesson and work to the start of instruction.
Together, these lists describe choices made by teachers who earn a rating or near a rating of 1.0 where all students learn everything taught in lessons by that teacher. At least 9 out of every 10 learners have learned lessons taught by teachers who used these lists, or earlier versions, usually unwritten, of these lists.
