Write key words of what you will do immediately before learners’ meet this objective.

Call this description Criterion-1 (C-1, read, Criterion minus one step). Show/Tell the learner how to do the last step before completing the lesson successfully, that is, before you can see, hear, etc. that learners completed the lesson successfully). For example, “I will write that I will underline the C-1 to solve the math problem.” Write what you will do so they complete C-1 and meet criterion for the most important point for this lesson.
