Ellie is home. She's tired but ate dinner, which her first meal in 3 days. She only ate 1/2 a can of wet food because of the anesthesia.

Ellie is in the emergency room tonight. It doesn't look good. Her red blood cell count dropped from 41 on Tuesday to 13. They are doing a transfusion but the vet thinks the blood smear suggests a parasite.

Ellie is alert but still in the emergency clinic. The last update was at 1 30 am. I spoke with the vet and he said a blood sample made it to the outsourced facility. Ellie has an ultrasound today to see if she is bleeding internally. X-rays don't show any internal bleeding.
