Return of the Tablet PC bean bag chairs from conference Test Drive area

Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition bean bag chairs returned from MEDC today. Guess where they all got stacked? In Frank’s office. When I left Building 32 today, Frank was testing one of the chairs out – in the middle of the hallway. Personally, these chairs are preferable to desk chairs that never quite fit. I wonder how many will still be around when TechEd is over, or if these bean bag chairs will replace office furniture.

Are you ready for TechEd?

I’m on my way to Arizona for a quick hello to family and my dog before I go to Florida to attend TechEd. TechEd begins on Monday and I’m very excited about attending. I plan to attend the Mobile PC and Tablet PC sessions. I’m also working in the Microsoft exhibit booth and Hands on Lab. Stop by and say hello.

If you’d like to meet up with Loren and me, send an email to LJHEINY at hotmail dot com. We can meet up for lunch or dinner.

Welcome to Microsoft, Trevor Claiborne

Trevor Claiborne, Microsoft Tablet PC MVP and co-writer on The Student Tablet PC Blog, just started an internship with the Microsoft CRM group. Congratulations, Trevor and best of luck. Let’s have lunch when I get back from TechEd. In the meantime, make sure you pester the Tablet team while I’m away.

Visit with Time and Task Management Gurus

I enjoyed visiting with Marc Orchant and Jeremy Wright late Wednesday afternoon. We covered topics ranging from Tablet PCs, converging devices, devices working together, to the New England snow storm of 1978.

Marc and Jeremy are working on Microsoft Outlook and OneNote time and task management training courses. I’m a good candidate to learn and practice their methods.

I look forward to seeing them again in July, when they return to Redmond to continue their program development.

Review: Fujitsu T4010 Tablet PC

Linda has written another review of Tablet PC hardware. This time she looks at the Fujitsu T4010.

"The 12.1 inch display is clear and the color saturation is good. The new 160 degree wide viewing angle means you do not have to be sitting front and center to clearly see the screen. This comes in handy when your trying to share the screen with others for demo purposes."
