Definition: 1. a Use of a symbolic family estate on behalf of someone without such recognition by an organization. b Community member acts on behalf of, or in other ways advocates for someone whose family does not advocate for him or her; generally an advocate extends their symbolic family estate to include someone without such a family and without the same social position as the advocate. c Endorses of the legitimacy of a claim to a right or position in the community.
2. Extends choices in an organization normally available to someone with a symbolic family estate to someone without those choices or that recognition.
