A Learners’ View Is OF Choices On The Shortest And Fastest Path To Learning, The Oxygen Of Social Life.
INTRODUCTION OF ALV (a learners’ view) opened ways to describe and measure risks of learners failing to learn (RFL) a lesson. RFL exists as the difference between what is possible and actual academic performance of learners. Risks reside in choices of teachers for the lesson. Use of ALV elements of learning permits measuring affects of choices of teachers on the likelihood of learning occurring. Main risks which contribute to RFL:
- Lesson content and presentation accuracy risk, efficiency risk, elapsed time risk, precision risk, relevance risk, timeliness risk, trial-and-error or trial-block risk, Triple-Helix of learning risk, …
- Teacher belief system risk, professional preparation risk, lesson planning risk, lesson planning resources risk, instruction planning risk, content analysis risk, content …
- Community cultural alienation risk, family type risk, family social disaffection risk, …
Identifying and describing distinct, measurable risks permits administrators and others to adjust resources available for teachers to use in lessons that reduce RFL.
