Notes about a Performance Standard for Educators

A Learners’ View (ALV) Is Of Choices On The Shortest And Fastest Path To Learning, The Oxygen Of Social Life.

Main Article: Notes about ALV

THE ALV (a Learners’ View) PERFORMANCE STANDARD FOR EDUCATORS rests on the possibility that teachers can use research descriptions to match choices of learners routinely and consistently, so that students learn lessons consistently.

Experimental behavioral and social scientists who studied learning and learning from teaching have reported descriptions of ways choices (sometimes without that name) exist in the social process of learning. These scientists shared a commitment to experimental studies. They sometimes held different points of view and used different theories about education, learning, and teaching-learning when conducting their studies.

After boiling away such differences, it leaves descriptions of choices by teachers during instruction and by learners while learning those lessons. Scientists reported that when teachers match choices learners make while learning, learners learn lessons.
