THE ALV (A LEARNERS’ VIEW) FAMILY exists as categories of social processes grounded in choices during teaching and learning. ALV sees commonalities across individual differences among these processes.  This view brings the science of learning to the art of teaching. Teachers and others may use this view, the ALV family, and ALV relativies to accelerate, increase, and deepen (AID) learning as well as to assess and predict results of lessons before teachers offer them. A Learners’ View (ALV)

ALV GIVES PRIORITY TO HOW over what people choose while learning. It addresses the question, “Tell me steps people take that I can observe while they learn something.” ALV grounds learning in observable human activities common in reports over more than a century of experimental behavioral and social science research that describes learning. More

ALV Path

THE ALV PATH DISTINGUISHES LEARNING AS A SOCIAL PROCESS. This path consists of a series of observable choices learners will likely make while learning. These choices form an infrastructure for learning content of lessons as an electric grid powers a  light bulb. More

ALV Relatives

ALV RELATIVES resulted from application of ALV to formulate procedures that AID and assess learning promptly.  Relatives include categories and samples of lessons teachers may adopt, adapt, and apply as well as tools to assess the efficiency of learning from those lessons.
