A Learners’ View (ALV) Is Of Choices On The Shortest And Fastest path To Learning, The Oxygen Of Social Life.
Main Article: Checklists for Educators
THIS CHECKLIST OF CHOICES FOR TEACHERS refers to choices learners likely make on the ALV Path while learning. Choices of teachers match those of learners, so learners will likely learn those lessons.
Teachers choose when and how to tell or in another way identify for learners which choices by learners will solve the problem of each lesson. For each lesson, teachers choose which of the five generic questions on the ALV Path to ask learners to answer, and thereby the likelihood of all students learning that lesson as a result of these choices:
- The content or subject matter.
- Which generic question does it answer?
- The content as tasks for learners to perform.
- The level of simplicity or complexity of academic performance tasks.
- The accuracy and precision of instructing that content (ways to perform those tasks).
- The order of instructing those tasks.
- Scheduled (estimated) time to complete each performance task.
- How to instruct the lesson.
- How to assess if learners meet criterion for performing correctly.
- The place of this lesson in fulfilling curriculum and state minimum performance standards.
