Neil Newhouse, a Romney pollster, attempted to dampen the momentum any post convention bump seen in the polls by President Obama. While he conceded that President Barack Obama “has seen a bounce from his convention” in daily tracking polls but urged readers not to “get too worked up about the latest polling.”
He continued, to characterize the bump as “a bit of a sugar-high from the conventions” and argued that the “basic structure of the race has not changed significantly.”
Every poll since the DNC convention now shows President Obama in a narrow lead. The polls are still tight in swing states.
