If you’ve been looking for a drop dead simple ad from Microsoft that’s on par with any Apple iPhone ad you’ve seen, here it is:
The “script” is so simple and sweet:
“My name’s Kylie. I took a picture of my fish Dorothy and I’m going to send it to my family. I plug this thingy in here. And now you click this. I’m going to make this picture much better. I click. It’s better. I’m going to send it to my Mom and Dad. Say cheese! I’m a PC and I’m four and a half.” — Kylie
I expect we’ll see these commercial(s) getting lots of air time on TV…I hope.
Also, I’m assuming we’ll be seeing a whole series of commercials here. I realize that this is the Live group doing this, but please, can we have a Tablet PC version? Can’t you see someone like Kylie demoing in a commercial how simple a Tablet PC is to use?
This commercial actually reminds me of an internal Intel video I saw at a conference. Like this one it used kids around the ages of 5 or so to talk about all of the technological things that had changed already in their lifetimes. You know, how dial up modems were no more. Stuff like that. It was so clever. The audience loved it and hounded Intel to make a commercial out of it, but for whatever reason it never hit the airwaves. Maybe it’s online somewhere.
Anyway, now we’re talking.
LOVE, Love, love this ad! Touches the heart.
