Should I buy a Nokia 810 Tablet?

The more I look at the Nokia 810 Tablet, the more I think this may be the next “Tablet” to purchase. I’ve been thinking about picking up an ASUS Eee PC instead, but the 810 looks like something I’d really use rather than just tinker with.

I keep thinking though, how nice it would be for these kinds of devices if WiFi was more universal at this point. It’s not, and as a result these mobile WiFi-based devices don’t shine like they should.

Another part of me says to wait until CES and check out the latest UMPCs/MIDs. That’s probably the wisest choice. I haven’t had a chance to play with any next gen UMPC/MIDs and it’s probably a good thing to do. And my gut tells me that these types of devices really need WiFi and some form of wireless broadband built in (WiMAX, for instance). But boy, does my inner geek want to give the Nokia 810 a go. I’m dreaming of some cool apps for it.

Hmmm. Which way do I go?
