No wonder I can’t sign on to Messenger or get my Hotmail email…..the .NET Passport (now called Windows Live ID) service is having some problems.

Currently, for me it says:
“.NET Passport is temporarily experiencing difficulty. You may be unable to sign in, change settings in your profile, or register a new .NET Passport. Please try again later.”

Ah, I see that Messenger is having problems too. Whew. Glad it’s just not me. I can get back to work now.
I’m also getting a “Service Unavailable” sometimes when trying to reach Hotmail, but I’m guessing that’s because of the Windows Live ID problem. The Hotmail network status reports an all clear for Hotmail. Too bad I’m not already signed on. It looks like I’d be able to get my email without any problem then.
