Local Disk D (a part of the hard disk of my laptop) was storage of MANY Office files, pictures and movies. Now I can’t open it.
Local Disk D properties:
General: Used space: 0 bytes. Free space: 0 bytes. Capacity: 0 bytes.
Tools: Error checking: Check now: “The disk check could not be performed because Windows can’t access disk.”
However if I write a word in the SEARCH of my Windows 7, it finds a lot of relevant files (which are on Local Disk D) and shows 2 or 3 lines of the text of each file, containing this word – the lines are often in the middle or close to the end of the file. Thus Windows shows that it CAN SEE the whole contents of ALL the files on Local Disk D. But if I click on a line of the search results to open the file, I get “The document name or path is not valid.”
The Recovery could not solve the problem.
I would highly appreciate assistance in solving this problem.
