Photo cartoons

After my test WebcamNotes posts with the Intel Bunny and now with Peter’s Xmas cartoon post, I wonder if there might be something to Photo-based cartoons. The idea would be to use staged dolls as the characters and then ink in the captions. No drawing skills necessary. Although a sense of humor might help a bit 🙂

The photos make the “art work” easy and the ink gives a friendly, cartoon feel.

A downside would be that the resulting cartoons would be bigger (bitwise) than comparable hand drawn black and white cartoons. Are we that bandwidth handicapped today though? Hmm.

I need to look into modifying WebcamNotes so it can display multiple cells. Uh, now that I think about it, the cells would need to be re-orderable/editable/deletable/etc. Hmm. For now, as Peter illustrates one cell is good enough for the humor artists. Something to think about.
