WIPTE, the Workshop on Impact of Pen-Based Technology on Education, has issued a 2010 call for videos of the use of Tablet PCs in schools, homeschooling, and other education venues. Tablets are used in a wide range of subjects, including nursing, chemistry, veterinary science, geology, ethno-musicology, anthropology, landscape architecture, writing, mathematics, computer science, Japanese language, physics, engineering, art, and economics.
WIPTE committee members intend to leverage this shared passion and to identify best practices in the educational use of pen-based computing, so that all educators may benefit from this next generation of technology.
Toward this end, the WIPTE organizing committee invites video submissions to the 2010 WIPTE Video Contest. Submissions should illustrate how Tablet PCs are being used to support teaching and learning.
The winning submission, along with the runner up submissions, will be showcased at WIPTE 2010. In addition, authors of the winning submission will receive a $3,000 prize.
