Brad Stone reviewed several digital book patterns that innovators have announced. I’m especially intrigued by Bradly Inman’s v-book. That seems worth some time to track down.
He’s helping to drive what I call the emergence of a mass market of independent learners in an open learning paradigm.
The v-book introduces video clips into the story at key points. That means I could read and watch.
While it would take some getting used to for me, I’m guessing that my grandchildren will respond with, “Of course, why not, and what’s next? Can I tell the author what I think of the book as I read and watch along?”
Imagine textbooks, workbooks, scientific reports, and literature with motion.
Hmm, I wonder if they would challenge the idea of people who limit their children to X minutes of screen time per day?
