I know where I want to be on June 21.
Catching a glimpse of history in the making as SpaceShipOne completes its first leg of two suborbital flights would make my summer. I get chills just thinking about it:
“The June attempt will involve an 80-second rocket firing that will accelerate the craft to Mach 3. It will then coast up to the target altitude [62 miles] before falling back to Earth. The pilot will experience weightlessness for more than three minutes. The glide back to the ground will take 15-20 minutes.”
What a ride this would be.
