Keynote to Learning as Social Oxygen

A Learners’ View (ALV) Is Of Choices On The Shortest And Fastest Path To Learning, The Oxygen Of Social Life.

SOCIAL OXYGEN IDENTIFIES, from a learners’ view (ALV), vocabulary and their relationships that refer to patterns of choices by teachers and learners which accelerate, increase, and deepen (AID) learning. These patterns measurably refresh and adjust society. In this sense, learning is an element of social life that combines with other social elements (of economics, religion, etc.) to form social activity beyond that of any of their parts.

That learning occurs is a matter of defining and labeling changes of patterns of activity by people. Education exists as a matter of scholarship and historical convention about the relevance of those changes to social life. That learning as social processes of education occurs during teaching is a matter of science. Relationships between education and learning exist as social theory and common use.

At the same time, agreement exists among specialists who address these matters that the subject of education is the assimilation of people into common patterns and traditions of society(ies). The demonstration of common patterns is assumed to occur voluntarily, that is, through choices of members of society. Some specialists argue, that without these commonalities a referent does not exist to assert that social life continues or changes. These are difficult agreements and arguments to test definitively with experimental studies.

In the mean time, educators and their supporters fuse assimilation into scholarship, theory, and teaching, then assign an importance greater than they concede to any operations or policies by educators, the trustees of educational practices.

This text uses common words to refer to scientific descriptions of quantifiable facts of teaching that result in learners learning lessons. These descriptions rely on mathematics to identify their validity and reliability. These facts feature more precision and accuracy than educators use in daily conversations.

If Social Oxygen had been written in conversational tone and style, it would appear something like this: Social Oxygen describes boiled down social processes, so you may know, understand, and use ways people learn from teaching. However, to know and to understand are categories of generalizations. Each generalization has meanings lacking accuracy and precision that teachers can use reliably to accelerate, increase, and deepen (AID) learning promptly.

Educators raised in conversations about schooling, teaching and learning, may by choice, identify some scientific facts to use while preparing lessons. Changes in learning by their students will likely remain limited, if apparent, when these educators have not set aside their imprecise use of vocabulary.
